Our Process
1. The Brief
Our briefing process is tailored to understand each of our clients in order to deliver a bespoke solution that meets your needs and aspirations. Our experienced Design Director will meet with you at your property to discuss your project and inspect your land or existing home. We will work together to understand how you live in and use your spaces. We will then explore the functions that you might need from your new home or extension design.
2. Concept Design
After completing the project brief, we formulate design layout options for your floor plan. We combine our ideas with your brief to create design options that meet your needs and functional requirements. We communicate the options to you through sketches, imagery of example projects, and 3D models. You are involved in the design process the entire way so that your decisions are informed.
3. Design Development
Once you select your chosen design option, we work with you to further refine the design. This will include developing and refining each interior and exterior space.Your chosen concept will merge into a set of drawings that describe the function and aesthetic attributes of your home. Engineering professionals will assist to finalise the structural and stormwater requirements. This stage we liaise with your builder to finalise the project budget ahead of application.
4. Project Application
Upon completion of the design, we take the stress out of the process by managing the project application stage on your behalf. We work with engineers to finalise their application documents, and liaise with your relevant local authority for your development application submission or complying development application. We provide BASIX Certificates as part of our standard service and lodge the application on your behalf.
